Neko Case put on a good show last night. We had some nice standing room at the very front! Good thing, cuz otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see anything...and surely I'd have come home grumpy. The trade off: too close to the speakers, I kinda have a headache.

the betrayal

Number 66 of my photo scavenger hung is 'a dog.' Perfect, I thought. I'll just get a great shot of my lovely Zibby. After all my trying, the lighting was bad and he wouldn't hold still for long enough. This was the best I could do:

The bottom two are the best contenders for scavenger hunt inclusion, but I'm just not thrilled about either of them. Amid my struggle, I met the local quilt shop dog, Stella. She's a 3 month old miniature Shih Tzu (is that even possible?). Just look at her!

So that was my betrayal. I didn't love my pictures of Zibby and couldn't resist using Stella and the picture on the left. Oh Zibby, please forgive me!

Don't you love my new purse? That's okay if you don't. It's so smooth and smells like soft leather! It even does an awesome diagonal sling making my bike riding a million times easier. I'm so happy I could eat it! wait....no.

We had a nice day on Saturday at the farmer's market. I even got a few good pics for the flickr scavenger hunt. We also walked around the Gateway and Temple Square. We spent the rest of the day watching the Olympics. It was a great day.

I wanted Twitch to win. What do you mean I can't complain? Oh right, I didn't even vote. But still, I was pulling for Twitch. I am happy for Joshua though.

Lately I've been wishing my bike had a horn on it so I can honk at all the cars that nearly run me over, or all the people that don't walk in straight lines on the sidewalk. And now you're thinking: "but bikes don't belong on the sidewalk!" Indeed, but crusier bikes certainly don't belong on the street.
If I can't have a horn, I'll take a handle bar bakset. And instead of honking at people, I can throw things at them!
