This is weird but today I was bouncing around between blogs and landed on a blog of apregnant woman in California. She was talking about alternatives to disposable diapers...she's environmentally friendly. She talked about g-diapers and I checked them out. It's a pretty cool concept although I'm not sure how affordable it is.
gDiapers consist of a washable, cotton outer pant and a plastic free flushable refill. They are made of breathable material just like sports clothing. So, babies stay dry and happy and are far less likely to get diaper rash.
Pretty cool concept...and they're pretty cute. (These pictures are of the bum-side.) So I want to hear what all you mom's think...cuz I know that diapers are a huge expense and I figure that these cost much more than regular disposables. I guess it depends on how much of a tree hugger you are. Global warming anyone?

I think I saw a segment about these on a news program once. Most of the moms thought they were a pain because the reusable part was very hard to clean. I'm all for easy and cheap. I think I will do part on being green by not over changing my baby. If the diapers were easy to use, and affordable, I would be all for it.
SO, random thing is I brought up the fact that I was going to use cloth diapers when I'm pregnant and one of our staff members went on and on about how it wastes so much energy cleaning the cloth ones; which I'm sure it does. But I know that a lot of the enviro friendly stores have very earth friendly disposable diapers. Anyways, why are you looking up pregnant CA women? =)

HA! I agree with Molly!
Did you ever see anything on Asian babies who have diapers with the bum area cut out? I guess they just let the babies run around and where they go they go...ponder that
